On Dresses

A few days ago I put on a sundress to go out somewhere. Delaney always tells me I look like a princess when I wear a sundress. For the entire day, anytime she said "mommy" she would follow it with "princess." "Can I have milk, Mommy Princess?" "Play with toys Mommy Princess!" So I called her "Delaney Princess" all day. Sometimes it's good to be a princess.

On Music

We were having a tea party, and Delaney randomly looks up at me and says, "Mommy likes Joey?", referring to my recent NKOTB interest. So I told her yes, since it's apparent that she listens to what mommy tells her. She thinks about that and says, "Hug him!"

My kid has some good ideas.

On Ants

"Ants like hula hoops."

Outside on the porch today, as she attempted to 'lasso' some ants with her frisbee.
